Prerequisites
You need two things:
- A Claude.ai account (free or Pro) — sign up at claude.ai
- A Google account for authentication
That's it. No app to install, no credit card, no configuration files. Kachink runs as a remote MCP server — Claude connects to it over the internet.

Step-by-step setup
Open Claude's integration settings
Go to claude.ai/settings/integrations. You'll see an "Add integration" button (or "Manage integrations" if you already have some).
Add Kachink as a custom MCP server
Click "Add integration". In the URL field, paste the Kachink MCP server URL:
Give it a name like "Kachink Finance" and click Add.
Authenticate with Google
Claude will redirect you to Google OAuth. Sign in with any Google account. Kachink only receives your name and email — it does not access Gmail, Drive, or any other Google services.
After authenticating, you'll return to Claude with Kachink connected.
Start a new conversation
Open a new chat in Claude. You should see the Kachink integration listed as active. If you don't see it, click the tools icon in the chat input to enable it.
Log your first transaction
Type your first expense in plain English. Your first transaction also sets your base currency — so if you log in USD, USD becomes your base.

The fastest way to keep accurate records is to log transactions right when they happen — open Claude, type one line, done.
Set up recurring transactions
Subscriptions, rent, recurring income — set them once and forget. Kachink auto-logs them on the right day each month.
Log in any currency
